The new XYZ smart collagen is natural formula cream, clinically proven to visibly reduce the appearance of stretch marks whilst smoothing and firming the skin. XYZ Smart Collagen is effectively an “collagen booster” found in the leaf sap of the Bulbine frutescens, a South African, medical plant. The cream endeavours to provide stretch marks with a controlled amount of collagen to help to repair the structure of the skin using active substances knipholone and acetylated polymannose.
Now personally, the words knipholone and acetylated polymannose mean little to me – I’m a social science kind of girl – but these substances help to provide the skin with an extra dose of collagen to improve the dermal structures of the skin.
Now, at £39.99 I was sceptical at whether the high price would deliver high quality results, but I used the cream anyway. At first, I thought the container was quite small (60ml) and that it wouldn’t last very long, however, I managed to use the product consistently, twice a day, for about 8 weeks.
The luxe product comes in a very neat white box with a simple, unscented white cream in a little jar.
The cream is a smooth and thick texture, and consistency, making it easy to use without worrying about spillage – because at £39.99, you wouldn’t want to waste any!
I used the cream twice daily, after having a bath and then later, on clean skin before bed. It’s not at all greasy, rubbing quite easily into my skin. The only problem was I thought it was rubbing in too easily which made me rub some cream in twice just to be sure I’d see some results. Ha!
As you can see I have more than used this cream!
The website notes that the benefits of the cream are as follows:
The website states that results will appear after 12 weeks, however, I only used the product for about 8 and so, this may have affected my results.
At 24, I can happily say I do not have wrinkles or skin complaints we would generally associate with old ager. So, in terms of reducing wrinkles and, lifting & contouring, I had no visible results which is reasonable.
Now, as for stretch marks and skin texture, puberty does not discriminate and I was able to see small results here. My skin texture - the feeling of my skin – improved. It was smoother, and even slightly softer than prior to me using the cream. Again, these results were not visible and maybe that is because I did not use the product for long enough, but I do not think it could have lasted me any longer.
Overall, I wouldn’t say I was amazed by the results but I would say that my skin physically feels smoother. In terms of recommending the product, I would encourage to try it if you can afford to buy enough of the product to last you three months otherwise, you won’t necessarily get the best result nor will you be able to make a real judgment on the results.
