The hair is super lightweight and even with five packs, it doesn't weigh me down or feel heavy. Jorie Hair is a UK based company but they do ship worldwide. The 14 inch Bantu Twist costs £6.49 (around $8) per pack which is definitely great value for money.
Installing the hair was very straightforward. The style took me two hours to complete from the first corn row to crocheting in the last piece of hair. All I needed was a crochet hook and a needle and thread to sew down my corn rows.
The braiding pattern I used was super simple and as long as you can corn row straight back, you'll be fine. If you struggle with corn rows, you can always get a friend to help you.
Even with this very simple braiding pattern, I'm able to wear the hair as a side or centre part. I get bored with hairstyles quickly so it's important to me for my hair to be versatile and able to be worn in different ways.
Check out the video tutorial below to see the step-by-step process of how I installed the crochet braids. You can also see a demonstration of the invisible part method which is great for making all types of crochet braids look more natural.

Crochet braids are one of my favourite styles. There's so many different ways to wear them and as a lazy (and cheap) natural, I'm all about hairstyles which are quick, easy to DIY and cost effective! I'm rocking crochet braids at the moment and I am really feeling myself. I've been getting so many compliments and naturally, I'm loving it!
I've recently cut a few inches off my fro and I've been missing my big hair a little, so this is exactly what I needed. But if you don't fancy a huge mane, simply add less hair.
To achieve this style, I used five packs of Jorie Hair in the 14 inch Bantu Twist style. This hair mimics a twist out on afro/kinky hair really well which is great if you're going for a more natural look.
WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?
